Featured Contract Attorney: Jay Kuperstein


Jay Kuperstein is a contract attorney in Washington, D.C. He is a third-generation Washingtonian. Jay graduated from Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, Maryland, which perennially ranked among the top public schools in the country and is featured in the book “The Overachievers: The Secret Lives of Driven Kids.”
At Whitman, he earned the Scholar Athlete Award for varsity football. He earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Michigan. While enrolled at Michigan, he worked as an intern for the United States Olympic Committee and Washington Sports and Entertainment.
After graduating, Jay worked for NBA Entertainment, where he was a video editor. Jay helped produce Emmy and Telly award winning projects as well as contributing video bumpers for the launch of NBA.comTV.
Jay attended law school at American University’s Washington College of Law. While there, he was chosen for the New York City Hall Legal Honors Program. He also served as a Senior Associate on American University’s International Law Review and as the Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society.
Jay has been featured in the Washington City Paper, DC Style Magazine, and appeared in the films “Flags of our Fathers” and “The Invasion.”
As an attorney, Jay specializes in Telecommunications Intellectual Property Litigation as well as Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust investigations. He is licensed in Washington, DC.
